Valedictory Service for Clerk of General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana
A special valedictory service was held for the out-going Clerk of General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr Samuel Ayete-Nyampong at the Victory Congregation, Fafraha in Accra on Sunday 24th November 2019.
The service attracted a host of special dignitaries among whom were the Traditional leaders,Lay members of the Church, friends, family and the Clergy.
Appreciation
Rev Dr Ayete-Nyampong thanked the General Assembly Council, the entire Presbyterian membership both home and abroad for their support, prayers and advice during the seven years of his clerkship, adding that their pieces of advice kept him on the watch and that has contributed to his success as the 13th Administrative Secretary of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
He again thanked his family for their unflinching support and love throughout the seven years in office.
The Clerk used the occasion to highlight some of the achievements the Church had achieved during the seven years period in office and notable of these achievements were; the development of the PCG’s Mission and Evangelism blue print which has help in the evangelism drive within the church, construction of a new Head Office Complex at Kuku-hill Osu, acquiring of lands such as the Salem City land and improving the worship material of the church and also making them available in the vernacular and developing a new 10 year Strategic Plan for the Church,
The Clerk was later presented with a citation from General Assembly Council on behalf of the entire Church, elaborating the qualities, gentleness and finesse he brought to bear on the work as a Clerk of General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. The Benkum Senior High School Old Students Association also presented a citations to him.
