Moderator ends four-day working visit to Central Presbytery
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, has ended a three-day working visit to the Central Presbytery.
The visits took the Moderator Pastoral Districts of the Church such as Kwanyako, Nsaba, Breman Asikuma, Nyakrom, Akroso, Besease and Brakwa.
The Moderator at separate meetings at the District head stations, met the Council, Agents of the Church, Group leaders and Ministers Spouses and addressed them about policies and programmes of the Church at the national. The Moderator had a cordial interaction with the people.
Addressing the people the Moderator expressed his appreciation to agents of the Church in the Presbytery for keeping the Church united and intact in the face of COVID-19.
He said the outbreak of COVID-19 had created lots of challenges for the Church therefore some activities which were planned to be executed during the year would delay but will not be derailed.
The Moderator as part of the visit inspected ongoing projects within the presbytery. He announced that the General Assembly Office of the Church is supporting Presbyteries to construct 300 pavilions for congregations and Preaching Points in the rural areas without places of worship to get decent places to attend Church service.
The Moderator climaxed his visit with a church Service at Brakwa where the Young Adults’ Fellowship (YAF) held their 13th Presbytery Conference.
