The Presbyterian Church of Ghana has presented Nissan Pickup vehicles to three Regional Managers of Schools of the Church at a short ceremony at the General Assembly Office in Accra today Friday 3rd September 2021.
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Right Rev Professor Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante assisted by the Clerk of the General Assembly of the Church Rev Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor presented the vehicles to the Reginal Managers or their representatives.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Moderator said way back 15 years ago a decision was taken by the Church to provide vehicles for the Regional Managers to facilitate their movement but the Church could not do it due to lack of funds.
Rt. Rev Prof. Mante said the provision of the vehicles would go a long way to help monitoring and supervision. He added that there are nine regional Managers of the Church and therefore assured that other Regional Managers would also be provided vehicles between now and the next two years.
The Moderator noted that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana currently has over 2,400 basic schools, about 30 Senior High Schools, 5 Colleges of Education, a University, Two Research Institutes, and five Training Centers.
He assured that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has a commitment to continue to live up to its mandate as a true Bible-believing and practicing church and that it would continue to abide by vision of spreading the Word of God to the ends of the earth.
He urged the beneficiaries to adopt the culture of maintenance to ensure the longer life span of the vehicles.
Mrs. Vida Kyeremanteng Eastern Regional manager on behalf of the regional mangers thanked the Moderator and the entire Church for the presentation.
Beneficial regions are Eastern, Volta/ Oti and Western / Western North.
