The former Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, has arrived at the Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC), Abetifi–Kwahu, to begin a three‑day residency as the Centre’s Most‑Senior‑in‑Residence, offering mentorship, teaching and spiritual guidance to ministerial trainees.
Students welcomed him warmly on Tuesday afternoon, expressing excitement at the opportunity to learn from one of the church’s most experienced administrators and ministers. In a brief interaction after his arrival, Rev. Dr. Odonkor encouraged the trainees to take their formation seriously, reminding them that divine calling comes with divine preparation.
“Whoever God calls, He prepares,” he said, assuring the students: “I’m here to support, guide and teach.” Over the next 72 hours, Rev. Dr. Odonkor will engage trainees through teaching sessions, conversations, devotions, counselling, and informal interactions aimed at shaping their ministerial outlook.
His visit forms part of RTC’s long‑standing tradition of inviting senior ministers to spend time with students under the Most‑Senior‑in‑Residence programme, an initiative designed to expose trainees to seasoned pastoral wisdom, lived experience, and practical ministry insights.
Rev. Dr. Odonkor, known for his disciplined leadership and administrative depth, is expected to share reflections from his years of service, including his tenure as Clerk of General Assembly. His presence aligns with RTC’s commitment to nurturing disciplined, spiritually grounded and mission‑focused ministers for the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
Trainees say they look forward to learning from his journey, his challenges, and his counsel as they prepare for future service.
