7th DSS consultation slated for Oct. 12–16
The 7th annual Development and Social Services (DSS) consultation is scheduled for 12th–16th October 2026 at the Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Abokobi, bringing together DSS Directors from all Presbyteries for renewed commitment to social transformation.
In a circular issued by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, the General Assembly Office announced that this year’s consultation will be held under the theme: “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid — Fostering Health, Harvest & Human Dignity.”
The gathering will provide a platform to review the foundations laid in the church’s development and social services work, celebrate achievements, share experiences and explore new strategies for strengthening efforts in health promotion, sustainable harvest and the protection of human dignity.
All Presbytery DSS Directors are expected to participate fully in the consultation, which will be attended by the Moderator, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye and Clerk of the General Assembly. Directors are required to attend with their respective Presbytery DSS Action Plans to guide discussions and planning sessions.
The consultation is expected to deepen coordination across Presbyteries and reinforce the PCG’s commitment to holistic development, social welfare and community transformation.
