The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. David Aboagye Danquah, has commended the outgoing members of the Department of Church Life and Nurture (CLAN) committees, describing their years of service as invaluable to the work and growth of the Church.

Speaking at a send-off and inauguration ceremony for the Department’s committees at the Church House, Accra, on Thursday, Rev. Danquah expressed gratitude to members who had completed their terms of office, noting that their dedication had contributed significantly to resource creation and the successful delivery of the Department’s programmes.

He observed that many of the committee members had served faithfully for as long as six years, often balancing committee responsibilities with demanding personal and professional schedules.

“These men and women have worked very hard over the past six years without complaining or murmuring,” he said, adding that their efforts had helped produce quality outcomes for the Church. He assured the outgoing members that the Church remained grateful for their contributions and would continue to celebrate their service.

Rev. Danquah also welcomed newly appointed and reappointed members who have been entrusted with serving on the reconstituted committees for a new three-year term. He described their acceptance of the call to serve as an encouraging sign of commitment within the Church, noting with appreciation that none of those invited declined the appointment.

He expressed confidence that the new and returning members would bring fresh ideas, renewed energy and diverse gifts to strengthen the work of the Department. Urging them to approach their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication, the Clerk reminded the appointees that service in the Church is a sacred calling that requires faithfulness and a genuine commitment to God’s work.
