Legal consultation programme extremely useful
The Legal Advisor of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Lawyer A. A. Somuah Asamoah has described the church’s annual legal consultation on court cases and legal issues as a positive, useful exercise which has lots of benefits.
The event brings together lawyers of the church and other church leaders drawn from various congregations to deliberate on the PCG’s legal issues and plot constructive way forward to addressing them. This year’s programme is on the theme – “Celebrating Our Heritage: Securing our Landed Property.”
The programme opened on Wednesday at the Presbyterian Women’s Training Centre, Abokobi. In his opening address, the Chair for occasion, Lawyer A. A. Somuah Asamoah observed that the programme, since its inception has been beneficial to the PCG besides being a good example for other churches to follow.
“Other churches in the country are emulating this good programme of the PCG, he stated. Lawyer A. A. Somuah Asamoah stated that the legal consultation helps the PCG to deal with its legal issues.
“The legal consultation programme has been useful” he stated. It has led the church to address our legal issues in more productive ways; he added noting that he expects the 2025 edition to be fruitful with new perspective as the sessions would be enriched by the learned speakers on legal and spiritual matters.
