A simple act of kindness by Charlotte Anokye, a congregant at Victory Congregation, Fafraha, has captured the hearts of many across the country after a video of her generosity went viral on social media.
Charlotte, who is a member of the Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) and part of the team that helps clean the church, works as a petty trader selling fruit. In the widely circulated video, an elderly man approached her, apparently hungry, and asked for some fruit to eat. Without hesitation, Charlotte gave him what he needed.
An onlooker who had been recording the incident later approached Charlotte to ask what the man had requested. She explained simply that he wanted fruit, so she gave it to him. In a surprising turn of events, the man then took Charlotte to his home and handed her an envelope, apparently containing money, as a reward for her kindness.
The video has since sparked widespread admiration on social media, with many praising Charlotte’s selflessness and compassion. Her gesture has moved fellow church members and the general public, who are now rallying support for her.
Leaders and members of Victory Congregation have described Charlotte’s act as a reflection of true Christian love and service, noting that her generosity embodies the values of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
