Learning for Humanity (L4H), a non-governmental organisation dedicated to providing e-learning solutions, has donated computers and ICT equipment to the Presbyterian Senior High School, La, Accra, as part of efforts to strengthen digital learning.
The donation, which included desktop computers, laptops, projectors, printers, and accessories, was presented by Ms. Maame Efua Boateng on behalf of L4H during the climax of the school’s SRC Week celebrations. The items were provided based on specific requests made by the school to enhance teaching and learning.
Facilitating the event, the General Manager of Presbyterian Schools (Director of Education), Mr. Daniel Yeboah Hienno, acknowledged the challenges facing schools but emphasised the importance of partnerships that support education. He assured the school that similar donations were being extended to other Presbyterian institutions and pledged continued support and follow-up visits.
Representing L4H, Ms. Boateng expressed joy at being part of the initiative and hoped the donation exercise would become an annual program to equip students with relevant ICT skills to meet the demands of the digital age.
Speaking on behalf of the Moderator and the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the Director of AHRM, Rev. George Obeng-Agyei, Esq., expressed deep appreciation to L4H for their generosity and commitment to Presbyterian education nationwide. A formal handing-over ceremony was conducted to signify the official presentation and acceptance of the items.
Receiving the equipment, Headmistress Ms. Dorinda Ayorkor Tetteh thanked L4H and assured stakeholders that the ICT tools would be put to immediate and effective use to enhance academic work. The head prefect, speaking on behalf of the student body, expressed gratitude to L4H and the Church leadership, promising that the students would use the equipment responsibly to improve academic performance.
