Reconstituted Projects and Investments Committee of PCG inaugurated

A-10 member reconstituted Projects and Investment Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has been inaugurated by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, the Rt. Rev Prof Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante.

The members of the committee are:

Dr. Stephen Saforo Yirenkyi, former Lay representative on the General Assembly Council,  Chairperson for the committee,  Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah, Properties Manager, Head Office, Secretary.  Mr. Clarkson Duku Acheampong, Businessman, Hon. Abena Osei-Asare, Deputy Minister for Finance, Mr. Kofi Adu-Labi, Businessman, Mrs. Randa Asare, Western Presbytery Lay Representative on the GAC, Mr. Stephen Atuah Oppong, Bronmg Ahafo Presbytery Lay Rep on the GAC, Mr. Michael Nana Sarfo, Hon. Seth Tekpeh, former Minister for Finance and Mr. Alex De-Graft Hanson, Director of Finance at the Head Office.

The Moderator took the Committee through the oath of office and secrecy and expressed the hope that the Committee would render selfless services to the Church.

The terms of reference of the committee as per Order 24 of the PCG’s Manual of Order are:

Advise the General Assembly on mobilization and investment of funds.

Constantly review and advise the General Assembly on any existing projects and investments as regards their profitability.

Explore and advise the General Assembly on new areas of investment.

See to the proper management of the projects of the General Assembly and report on them from time to time.

Submit annual reports on the Church’s investments both locally and overseas to the General Assembly

See to the proper management of Special Funds and Foundations established by the Church.

Perform any other functions as may be directed by the General Assembly
