Workshop on National Peace Project opens at Abokobi
The Annual National Peace Project Workshop for Presbytery Directors of the Ecumenical and Social Relations (ESR) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has been opened at the Presbyterian Women’s Center Abokobi on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
The Clerk of General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, performed the official opening service of the workshop for subsequent lectures and deliberations.
Speaking on the theme for the conference, “Current Security Concerns and their Implications for the Church”, the Clerk indicated that Peace is a significant aspect of ensuring progress. He also stated that seeking Peace, is a function of a Christian to reflect the light of Jesus Christ in our lives. The Clerk encouraged all, to be agents of Peace and the light of the world.
Earlier, participants were led through morning devotion on the theme, “Peace” by Rev. Nana Svanikier, Director of the Center.
