Presbyterian Church congratulates Rev Commodore Paul Adjei Djan
The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has congratulated Rev Commodore Paul Adjei Djan on his promotion to the rank of Commodore in the Ghana Armed Forces which is equivalent to Brigadier General.
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana Rt. Rev Prof Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante congratulated Rev Commodore Adjei Djan on behalf of the Church when he visited the 22nd General Assembly at Abetifi Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana on Friday.
The Moderator described Rev Commodore Adjei Dhan as a hardworking, dedicated and selfless Minister of the Church.
“Our sincere and hearty congratulations to you on your promotion to the esteem rank of Naval Commodore in the Ghana Armed Forces”.
“We have no doubt that by the Grace of the Almighty God you will go on to make a distinguished performance for the Religious Department of the Ghana Armed Forces with which you are the Director General and that you will, therefore, bring considerable honor to the Church”.
The General Assembly and the entire family of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana are therefore, very pleased to have you as a Rev Minister.
Rev Commodore Adjei Djan is currently the Director General of the Religious Affairs of the Ghana Armed Forces.
Rev Commodore Adjei Djan has 30 years of experience in the ordained Ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana having been commissioned into the ministry in 1992 and ordained in 1994.
He was enlisted into the Military Academy in January 1997 and commissioned in September the same year with the rank of Sub-Lieutenant particularly into the Ghana Navy as Chaplain.
He became the Acting Director of Religious Affairs from March 2016 and was confirmed as substantive Director with the rank of Naval Captain.
Speaking to the Presbyetrian Media, Rev qCommodore Adjei Djan recognized the enormity of the position because more is expected of him by the Ghana Armed Forces and the country as a whole.
He paid tribute to all his predecessors who have occupied the position. He also thanked the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for nurtured him.
Rev Commondore Adjei Djan was accompanied by Very Rev Commander David Quayson, Director Religious Affairs, Ghana Navy and Ft. Lt. Asiedu Peddyson, Chaplain, 37 Military Hospital Accra.
