Be actively involved in vision 1.5 Agenda-Moderator
The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt Rev Prof. Joesph Obiri Yeboah Mante has admonished every Presbyterian in Ghana and abroad to be actively involved in the Vision 1.5 Agenda to win more souls for Christ.
The Moderator said this at the national launching of the 2023 Evangelism Week celebration at the Covenant Congregation, Dworwulu in the Ga Presbytery on Sunday 12th March 2023.
He indicated that since the Church intentionally started the Vision 1.5 agenda in 2019, the Church has grown in membership steadily by an average of 7.4%.
He, therefore, commended the Ga Presbytery Chairperson and the Presbytery Council for intentionally growing the membership of congregations within the Presbytery by 10.9 % in 2022.
The Chairperson of Sekyere Presbytery, Rev. Dr. Daniel Osei Bediako-Akoto preached the sermon and reminded members that like Jonah, God has given them a second chance to preach the Gospel and also support mission work with their resources.
The Ga Presbytery led by the Chairperson, Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye donated twenty (20) motorcycles and fifty sets of suits and clerical shirts to support Agents of the Church in deprived areas. He promised to donate more motorcycles for evangelism activities. During the service, funds were raised to support National Evangelism activities.
