PCG operates 60 health facilities in 12 out of the 16 regions in Ghana with over 4,000 staff… Clerk of GA



The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor has inaugurated the Advisory Board of the Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Dormaa.

The Advisory Board for the Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training College in Dormaa Ahenkro in the West Brong Presbytery was inaugurated on the 20th of February 2024 at the office of the Principal of the Institution.

Present at the occasion were Rev. Daniel Bosea-Gyinantwi, West Brong Presbytery Chairperson, Mr. Sam Sarpong Appiah, the PCG National Health Coordinator, Rev. Ansu Kumi, the Clerk of the West Brong Presbytery, and some Ministers within the Dormaa District.

Rev. Dr. G. N. N. Odonkor, enlightened the Board members that the Presbyterian Church of Ghana operates sixty facilities in twelve (12) out of the sixteen (16) regions in Ghana with over four thousand (4,000) staff members. He also mentioned that the management structure of these health facilities is decentralized to ensure effective operation.

The Clerk of GA emphasized to the Advisory Board members that their role is to guide them to ensure that, the institution’s founding principles and purpose are upheld. He further charged them with the responsibility to ensure the sustainability of the institution.

  4. Nana Akosua Fima II – Queen Mother, Rep. of the Dormaa Traditional Council
  5. Ms. Eunice Asmah – Rep. of the Dormaa Central Municipal Assembly
  6. Mr. Nicolas Agyapong – Rep. of the Parent / Guardians / Stakeholders
  7. Mr. Stephen Nyarko – Municipal Director of Health Services
  8. Rev. Stephen Kwarteng – PCG District Minister, Dormaa Ahenkro District
  9. Mr. Kennedy Wiafe Effah, Esq. – Legal Practitioner
  10. Miss. Amonua Rebecca – The President, SRC GNMTA/PNMTC
  11. Dr. Samuel Yaw Opoku – Opinion Leader/Special Advisor

During his visit, Papa Odonkor also engaged with the students of the College in an interactive session, encouraging them to focus on their studies and spirituality. He expressed his gratitude to the staff for their dedication and urged them to strive for excellence in the college.

The Clerk of GA also inspected and offered prayers for the renovated office of the General Manager of the Presbyterian Hospital at Dormaa, Rev. Dr. Isaac Appiah, which was sponsored by the Presbyterian Nursing and Midwifery Training College, Dormaa.
