Pavilion for Dawa Preaching Point in Akuapem Presbytery
To the glory of God, Rev. Ebenezer Acheampong Asiedu, Akuapem Presbytery Chairperson, has cut sod for the construction of a Pavilion for Worship at Dawa in the Nankese District of the Presbytery. He was assisted by the Nankese District Minister, Rev. R.O. Mantey, and other Agents in the District together with the Presbytery Presbyters’ Conference Executive.
The Pavillion project is being sponsored by the Presbytery Presbyters’ Conference. The Dawa Preaching Point was established in 2000, by the Emmanuel Congregation, Nankese through evangelism by the Bible Study and Prayer Group (BSPG) during the time of Rev. Brenya Abbey, the then District Minister.
A small congregation from a velander to a cocoa shed to a hut on a purchased land can now be hopeful of a befitting place of worship. The Presbytery Presbyters’ Conference responded to their appeal for support considering the devastating nature of their current place of worship. It is a promising worship center that desires proper nurturing.
