The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), the Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, together with the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, and some members of the General Assembly Council, paid a working visit to the Kutunse Project site to inspect ongoing construction works.

The visit comes at a time when Lot One of the First Phase has already commenced and is progressing steadily. The foundation work is ongoing to the stage of underground beam construction. Briefing the leadership, the Chairperson of the Project Committee, Dr. Andrews Kwablah, explained that the development is being executed in phases.

Phase One, Lot One comprises a 1,600-capacity conference centre, complete with syndicate halls and a comprehensive road network. Phase One, Lot Two will feature a 1,000-bed hostel facility, a playground, a Prayer Garden, and an Administration Block.

The project contractor, David Walters Ltd., assured the delegation that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the conference centre — now set to accommodate 1,600 people and the Road Network – will be ready for a “soft opening” by October 2026 to test the facility’s readiness for full operations.

Both the Moderator and the Clerk of GA expressed their satisfaction with the progress of work so far. The Moderator prayed for an accident-free working environment and against any forms of delay, while commending the efforts of all stakeholders involved – the Consultant, the Contractor, the Technical Committee, and the Leadership of the Church.

The Clerk of GA emphasized that members’ contributions have been instrumental in bringing the project this far. He urged all Presbyterians and anyone who has been impacted one way or the other by the Presbyterian Church to continue offering their financial and prayer support to ensure the successful completion of the Kutunse Project, which will serve as a major hub for conferences, training, camp meetings, and ministry growth within the PCG and beyond.

The visit reflects the Church’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and excellence in executing strategic projects that will serve generations to come. With the Moderator and Clerk of GA were: Rev. Enoch Kpobii, Chairperson of Ga West Presbytery, Rev. Charles Bekoe Appenteng (North America/ Australia Presbytery Chairperson), Ga West Lay Rep. and Clerk, Director of Finance for the Head Office, and some Ministers of the Church.
