The Presbyterian Senior High Technical School (PSHTS), Aburi, has honoured the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye by naming a newly constructed boys’ dormitory after him. The conferment ceremony, held on Friday at the school, was marked by deep reverence and gratitude.

The event formed part of a broader initiative to recognise distinguished personalities whose commitment, sacrifice, and leadership have significantly contributed to the development of the school.

In his speech, the Moderator expressed sincere appreciation to the board, headmistress, management, staff, students, and the Akuapem Presbytery for their partnership and dedication to the school’s advancement. He paid glowing tribute to the headmistress, Mrs. Joyce Appiah, acknowledging her exceptional leadership in the face of numerous challenges, and affirmed that her legacy would remain indelible in the history of PSHTS-Aburi.

Turning to the students, he urged them to draw inspiration from her example, encouraging them to lead with resilience, discipline, and excellence. He reminded them that true leadership is demonstrated not in comfort, but in perseverance through challenges.

With humility and conviction, the Moderator pledged that, with the support of family and friends, he would ensure that the newly named dormitory—”Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye House”—would stand as a symbol of excellence, discipline, and godly character.
