Mt. Olives Congregation, Patasi premieres splendid stage drama “David”
The Mount Olives Congregation, Patasi in the Asante Presbytery brought Scripture to life on Saturday, 4th April 2026, as its Creative Arts Ministry premiered a captivating stage drama titled “David – The Man After God’s Own Heart.”
The production, which began at 4:00 pm and was open to the public at no cost, drew an enthusiastic audience eager to experience the biblical story through creative performance presented right in their community.
The drama traced the remarkable journey of David—from his humble beginnings as a shepherd boy to his anointing, triumphs, failures, and ultimate rise as Israel’s greatest king.
Through excellent music, strong dialogue, and vivid storytelling that incorporated almost every group in the church, the cast portrayed David’s humanity, courage, struggles, and unwavering devotion to God. The production highlighted spectacular key moments such as his confrontation with Goliath, his trials under King Saul, and his eventual reign.
