PHS-Assin Nsuta celebrates retiring facility head

The Presbyterian Health Centre at Assin Nsuta has held a heartfelt send‑off ceremony in honour of Ms. Francisca A. Abayagi, who has retired after 36 years of dedicated service to the Presbyterian Health Service. Ms. Abayagi, who began her service in Bawku, rose through the ranks to become the Facility Head of the Assin Nsuta Health Centre, where she served with distinction until her retirement.

Her farewell ceremony, held on Friday, 26th June 2026, celebrated her unwavering commitment, leadership, and compassion in healthcare delivery. The event was held alongside the dedication of a refurbished maternity block, a project that symbolises the continued growth and strengthening of the facility she helped shape over the years.

The programme was officiated by the Western Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Dr. Joseph Appea Asamoah, together with the General Manager of the Asante Akyem Area Health Service, Rev. Ezekiel Amadu Daribi, and the Assin South District Minister, Rev. Hayford K. Kwabiah Jnr. Chiefs and Queen Mothers of Assin Nsuta also graced the occasion, reflecting the deep respect the community holds for the retiring staff.

Her send‑off attracted several dignitaries, including Madam Prudence Nangbule, former Facility Head of Assin Praso, who joined colleagues, staff, and community members to celebrate Ms. Abayagi’s remarkable career and lasting impact. The ceremony highlighted her legacy of excellence, discipline, and service, leaving an enduring mark on the Presbyterian Health Service (PHS) and the Assin Nsuta community.
