All congregations and preaching points nationwide are to observe Sunday, 16th August 2026, as General Assembly Sunday, marked by a special fundraising in support of the Kutunse Conference Centre Project.
The directive was issued in an official circular signed by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah. According to the circular, the fundraising will climax activities of the 26th General Assembly.
The Kutunse Conference Centre is the church’s flagship Bicentennial Legacy Project, intended to serve future generations of Presbyterians. The Clerk of General Assembly expressed profound appreciation for the overwhelming support received during the earlier fundraising held in May 2026, noting that members’ generosity, unity, and commitment have significantly advanced progress on the project.
“Every contribution, regardless of its size, will bring us closer to realizing our vision of completing the Kutunse Conference Centre for the glory of God,” the circular stated.
The Clerk encouraged Agents, sessions, and members to participate wholeheartedly and prayerfully, trusting that the Lord will bless every cheerful giver. He further noted that the special fundraising will be conducted without the regular exchange of pulpits, and agents are expected to officiate in their respective congregations and preaching points.
