Rev. Dr. Yaw Boadu officially begins work
The new Director of the Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC), Abetifi, Rev. Dr. Yaw Boadu, officially assumed office today. He takes over from the former Director, Rev. Gideon Buernor Puplampu, who also begins work today as the Dangme Tongu Presbytery Chairperson.
Rev. Dr. Boadu was born on 16 July 1981 and hails from Asene near Oda in the West Akyem Presbytery. He was commissioned into ministry in June 2011 and ordained two years later. He holds a PhD in New Testament Studies from the University of Pretoria. He is married to Berlinda Frimpong Wiafe, and they are blessed with three children.
Before his appointment, Rev. Dr. Boadu served as Head of Programmes at the Ramseyer Training Centre, Abetifi. Staff and student leaders joined the Abetifi District Minister and Minister in Charge of the Ramseyer Congregation, Rev. Emmanuel Obour, to pray for him at a brief ceremony in his office.
Rev. Obour quoted Proverbs 3:5–6 to encourage the new Director and the staff to trust in the Lord as they work together. Rev. Dr. Boadu thanked the church leadership, staff and students of RTC for the confidence reposed in him and requested their prayer and support as he begins his new responsibility.
