The Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, joined Mission 21 and its partner churches in Basel, Switzerland, for a solemn Communion Service as part of the Swiss‑German ecumenical engagement over the weekend.
The service, held on Saturday, 12th September 2026, formed one of the key spiritual highlights of the PCG’s visit. During the service, the Clerk led the administration of the Lord’s Supper, sharing in worship and fellowship with congregants and partner representatives.
He also pronounced the benediction, symbolically reaffirming the PCG’s long‑standing ties with Mission 21 and the wider ecumenical community in Switzerland. His participation underscored the PCG’s commitment to nurturing global Christian partnerships rooted in shared mission, mutual learning and spiritual unity.
The Clerk was accompanied by the ESR Director, Rev. Andrew Jackson Teye Odjawo, whose department coordinates the PCG’s ecumenical and interfaith engagements, and the Europe Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Seth Adzokatse, who represents the PCG’s growing constituency across Europe.
The Communion Service offered an opportunity for renewed fellowship, reflection and thanksgiving as the PCG delegation rounded up their visits to historic mission sites, partner institutions and congregations across Switzerland and Germany.
