The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, has begun a two‑day administrative visit to the Asante Akyem Presbytery, aimed at strengthening local church structures and supporting mission institutions within the area.
The visit focuses on two key assignments: inspecting the proposed Dampong and Patriensa Districts for possible elevation to full District status and inaugurating the 24th Area Board of the Agogo Health Service. His arrival was marked by a special welcome service at the Konongo Bethel Congregation, where the Presbytery formally received him.
Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah, who was accompanied by his Personal Assistant, Rev. Eugene Duodu, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and commended the leadership of the Presbytery for their dedication to the growth and stability of the church. He encouraged ministers and agents to continue working collaboratively to advance the mission of the PCG.
Chairperson of the Presbytery, Rev. Bright Agyekum Kobea, led the Presbytery Council, District Ministers and other leaders to welcome the Clerk, assuring him of the Presbytery’s full support throughout the visit. He noted that the Clerk’s presence affirms the General Assembly’s commitment to effective governance and the strengthening of mission institutions.
As part of his itinerary, Rev. Aboagye‑Danquah will visit Dampong and Patriensa to assess their readiness for District status, before proceeding to Agogo for the inauguration of the Hospital Board. The visit is expected to deepen engagement between the General Assembly and the Presbytery, while reinforcing the church’s resolve to build strong administrative and mission‑driven structures.
