The Chaplain General of the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Rev. Chief Superintendent Michael Baakwaw, accompanied by DSI Emmanuel Ofori Amanfo, a final-year ministerial trainee at the Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC), Abetifi, has paid a courtesy call on the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah, at the Head Office, Church House, Osu, Accra.
The visit, marked by warm fellowship and mutual respect, focused the longstanding relationship between the Ghana Immigration Service and the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. Rev. Chief Superintendent Baakwaw, who also serves as the Minister-in-Charge of the Trinity Congregation, Sakaman District, expressed appreciation for the Clerk’s leadership and the progress being made within the church.
He commended Rev. Aboagye-Danquah’s administrative vision, noting that initiatives such as PCG Connect are positioning the church for greater impact and growth. He expressed confidence that such forward-looking efforts would help move the church to the next level.
During the discussions, Rev. Chief Superintendent Baakwaw reaffirmed the Ghana Immigration Service’s readiness to support the church, particularly in matters relating to immigration. He assured the Clerk that the GIS remains available to assist individuals coming into Ghana to work with the church, ensuring smooth processes and compliance with immigration regulations.
The meeting ended on a cordial note, with both parties reaffirming their commitment to continued collaboration in service to the church and the nation.
