The Upper Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Roger Awudibah Wegurih, has issued a strong challenge to the Men’s Fellowship, urging Presbyterian men across the country to rediscover their place in the life of the Church and in national development.
He posed three piercing questions to delegates: “Where are the Presbyterian men? Where is the church? And where are the Presbyterians in society?”
Rev. Roger Wegurih was speaking at the National Annual Delegates Conference of the Men’s Fellowship, currently underway at the Unity Congregation, Sakasaka, Tamale, in the Northern Presbytery. The conference, running from 10th to 13th September 2026, is on the theme: “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid – Raising the Next Generation,” (1 Corinthians 3:11, Colossians 2:6–7, and 2 Timothy 2:2).
Rev. Roger Wegurih reminded delegates that the Presbyterian tradition has historically produced disciplined, responsible and transformational leaders who shaped communities, institutions and national life. He noted that the church’s forebears laid a strong foundation of mission, education and integrity, and today’s men must continue that legacy with courage.
He that Presbyterian men must be present and active in society, leading conversations, shaping values, influencing policy, strengthening families and modelling Christlike character. He warned that when men withdraw from leadership, mentorship and public engagement, the church’s witness weakens and its heritage risks fading.
He urged the Fellowship to recommit to raising the next generation of boys and young men who will inherit the church’s mission, emphasising that 2 Timothy 2:2 calls believers to pass on sound teaching and exemplary living.
