Newly Chairpersons of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, who recently assumed office have intensified familiarisation tours across their Presbyteries, engaging ministers, congregations and mission staff as they begin their tenure.
In the Dangme Tongu Presbytery, Chairperson Rev. Gideon Buernor Puplampu spent four days touring all 19 Districts of the Presbytery. His visits took him to Agents, staff and congregants, offering encouragement and gaining firsthand insight into the mission, administrative needs and pastoral realities across the Presbytery.
In the Western Presbytery, Chairperson Rev. Ebenezer Agyei‑Misah has be on a multi‑day tour aimed at strengthening pastoral supervision and deepening engagement with Districts. His itinerary has taken him through Manso Amenfi, Prestea, Bogoso, Aboso, Tarkwa, Nsuta Wassa, Aiyinase, and Agona Ahanta, where he met Agents and congregational leaders, assessed ongoing mission work and encouraged ministers to remain steadfast and mission‑focused.
The Central Presbytery has also seen key leadership engagement. Chairperson Rev. Nana Osei Owusu Fosu has met District Ministers at Bethel Congregation, Agona Swedru, Salem, in what was his maiden meeting with them. The gathering was cordial and fruitful, providing an opportunity for him to share his vision for the Presbytery.
He described District Ministers as co‑labourers in the vineyard of the Lord and his lieutenants in advancing the mission of the Church. He updated them on emerging issues requiring urgent attention and encouraged unity, commitment and effective collaboration as the Presbytery works toward growth and development.
The Asante Akyem Presbytery Chairperson Rev. Bright Agyekum Kobea also met with District Ministers to outline his priorities for strengthening mission, administration and congregational life across the Presbytery. He encouraged ministers to work in unity, uphold disciplined leadership and support efforts aimed at advancing the Presbytery’s growth.
In the West Akyem Presbytery, Chairperson Rev. Charles Baah‑Ankrah, in his meeting with District Ministers, urged them to adopt a proactive and innovative approach to ministry. He shared his priorities and encouraged ministers to move beyond their comfort zones, embrace new opportunities and work intentionally toward the spiritual, social and economic transformation of their congregations.
