The Director of Finance, Mr. Alex De-Graft Hanson, has urged ministers to take continuous education programmes seriously, particularly in areas relating to church financial administration and stewardship.

Speaking on PCG Connect, the Finance Director stressed that ongoing learning was essential for ministers to keep abreast of the Church’s financial policies, governance requirements and accountability standards.

He specifically encouraged ministers to actively participate in continuing education programmes organised by the Department of Church Life and Nurture, describing them as important platforms for effective church leadership.

Mr. Hanson noted that sound financial management remains a critical component of ministry and urged ministers to familiarise themselves with the Church’s financial policies and decisions to ensure consistency in their implementation across congregations.

He further called on ministers to promote transparent and accountable financial systems within their congregations and districts, stressing that integrity must remain at the centre of the Church’s stewardship of resources entrusted to it by members.

The Finance Director laid emphasis on accountability and faithful stewardship, which he described as essential to sustaining the PCG’s mission, programmes and development initiatives. He encouraged ministers to continue modelling integrity and responsible financial leadership, noting that effective stewardship strengthens confidence in the Church.
