The Director of the Ramseyer Training Centre (RTC), Abetifi, Rev. Gideon Beunor Puplampu, has charged the 2025 graduating class at the centre’s third graduation ceremony for the Licentiate in Ministry programme, to show godliness in character as they go out there.

Speaking to the newly commissioned ministers, Rev. Puplampu reminded them that their training at RTC was designed to prepare them for all categories of ministry within the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG). He stated that the centre’s renewed mandate is not only to equip ministers with knowledge but also to nurture their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, so that their service will be marked by competence, humility, and devotion.

“You have been trained with the emphasis that being comes before doing. Character, faith, doctrine, and aspirations must shape your ministry, and from these, your actions will naturally flow,” he said, noting that the public will now look to the graduates as examples of Christian life, evaluating their conduct and ministry as a reflection of RTC’s work.

Rev. Puplampu urged them to navigate the complex road of ministry by pointing people toward what is right and away from what is wrong, knowing that many will imitate their example. He further charged the graduates to cultivate reverence for God, embrace humility, and adopt a lifelong learning attitude that will keep them competent and ready for service wherever they are called.

“Proceed with a deep desire for God and His glory. May you manifest the excellent life that God expects of His people, and may you be worthy of the respect due ministers of the gospel,” he declared. Rev. Puplampu further reminded the graduates that they are now alumni of RTC, carrying the institution’s reputation wherever they serve.

“Through you, the Centre will be honored. Through you, the knowledge of God will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea,” he affirmed.
