PRESEC Legon presents the NSMQ trophy to GAC of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana


The 2022 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) winner, the Presbyterian Senior High School (PRESEC) Legon has presented the trophy to the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante.

The presentation took place at the just-ended General Assembly Council (GAC) meeting of the Church held at the Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Abokobi in the Ga East Municipality of the Greater Accra Region on Thursday 10th November 2022.

PRESEC Legon is the most successful school to ever contested the National Science and Maths Quiz winning the prestigious competition 7-times.

The 2022 grand finale was between PRESEC Legon, Prempeh College in Kumasi, and the Adisadel College of Cape Coast. Though the contest was very tough PRESEC Legon managed to be victorious on the day.

The Moderator on behalf of the Church congratulated PRESEC, Legon for winning the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) competition 7-times and made a personal donation of 2,000 US dollars to the school for winning the competition.

The Moderator invited the Clerk of the General Assembly of the Church, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, the Ga Presbytery Chairperson, Rev Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, General Manager of the Presbyterian Schools Mrs. Rosamund Amoako Appenteng to join him to receive the trophy on behalf of the GAC.
