The immediate past General Manager of the Presbyterian Schools retires from active service
A Thanksgiving service in honour of Mrs. Rosamond Amoako Apenteng the immediate past General Manager of the Presbyterian Schools has been held at the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon on Friday.
Institutional heads, stakeholders, personalities including Very Rev Professor Emmanuel Martey, former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev Dr. Samuel Ayete-Nyampong, immediate past Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, and other high-ranking personalities graced the occasion.
In a series of fraternity and solidarity messages, speakers recounted the wonderful and motherly relationship she maintained since taking up the leadership of the Church as the General Manager of Schools who at the same time doubled as Director of Education of the Church.
They said Mrs. Amoako Appenteng had always admonished members working under her and described her as ‘hardworking, resilient, and strict in terms of executing her roles and duties.’
Mrs Amoako Appenteng served as General Manager and Director of Education of the Presbyterian Schools for seven years.
The former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Very Rev Prof. Emmanuel Martey described Mrs. Appenteng as a hard-working person who discharged her duties professionally.
Mrs. Appenteng in her valedictory speech thanked the Moderators she worked with such as Very Rev Prof. Martey, Very Rev Prof. Cephas Narh Omenyo, and the Right Rev Prof. Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante, the current Moderator.
She also expressed her appreciation to Rev Dr. Samuel Ayete-Nyampong and Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor the immediate past and current Clerk of the Church General Assembly respectively.
She also thanked the entire GES fraternity for their support, love, and confidence in her, and recounted the struggles, challenges, and problems she went through executing her work.
At the colorful ceremony, the dignitaries helped her to cut a huge cake amidst the popping of champagne and declared a toast to the new milestone of the retiring Director.
