Moderator @ Ga Presbytery Session

The Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has appreciated the Ga Presbytery for their immense support to PCG especially in financial contribution. He mentioned that, the Ga Presbytery contributes about 33% to 35% of the Head Office budget.

Bicentennial Celebration

The Moderator further encouraged members to keep a celebrating face always knowing what God has and is doing for us as a church. The celebration has already begun with public lecture and launch, there would be some other public lectures in Ga, and Asante Presbyteries this year. The Moderator added that the next time we would be wearing the anniversary cloth together will be the General Assembly Sunday.

Agenda 2Million

The Moderator indicated that PCG needs to show more prowess in our missionary quest as a church. He indicated that, when your church is doing well, everyone wants to associate with you. He encouraged the full participation of the triangular partnership.

He added that the Church has practically indicated our heart to this Agenda with the National Crusade organised. He called for the Presbytery, District and Congregational levels of the Crusade. He informed the session that about 150 motorbikes have been distributed for massive Evangelism.

Kutunse Project

The Moderator recounted the challenges the church was facing and how top personalities who assured help were removed from Office within the period.

He shared the breakthrough the church has had on the disturbances of armed men weaning sand on the land. The Moderator asked for the full support at this time to speed up construction work on the land. He reiterate the days designated for Congregational fund raising to support the project.

PCG Global

Moderator informed members about the global nature of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. He mentioned that the Church is now exploring and reaching people in East Asia, and in some Arab regions.

Indiscipline (Excesses)

Moderator passionately spoke about the Indisciplines that are finding its way into PCG nowadays. He explained the system of the church that makes him and few others who are trustees of the church responsible.

The problem we have as Ministers, Catechists or Presbyters, are not to sure of our spiritual competence invites these Prophets to our church. Let us show leadership as leaders of the church.

Commissioning of GAP-PWC Water Project

The Moderator, with the assistance of the Ga Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Col. David Adoteye Asare and the Ga Presbytery Council has dedicated their joint Salem Water Project with the Presbyterian Women’s Center.

The Moderator charged the maiden board of directors of the company to be more business minded to work hard and generate income to boost our interest. The Chairperson added that he is going to have his big eyes on the Project for success.
