DSS Hosts Successful Breast Cancer Screening

The Health Unit of the Department of Development and Social Services under the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has organised a breast cancer screening exercise at the General Assembly Office compound in Osu.

The initiative, aimed at promoting early detection and awareness, drew participation from both staff and members of the surrounding community.

Health professionals were on hand to assist attendees through the screening process, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience. In addition to church staff, residents from the Osu neighbourhood and other visitors took advantage of the free service.

The event was marked by a strong turnout and a spirit of community engagement, with organisers describing it as a success. The screening forms part of the Church’s broader commitment to public health and social welfare.
