Fifteen youth representatives from the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) have arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, ahead of their onward journey to Nairobi, Kenya, where they will participate in the 2nd All Africa Youth Congress.
The five-day convocation, set to begin on Friday, 31st October 2025, at the Desmond Tutu Conference Centre, aims to ignite a spirit of patriotism and mobilize African youth toward a unified agenda for justice and development.
Under the theme “Africa: My Home, My Future,” the Congress has drawn wide interest across the continent, with over 2,000 applications received and only 500 delegates selected. The PCG contingent joins other youth from AACC member churches in a transformative campaign that encourages ownership of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.
In a farewell meeting before departure, the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, charged the delegates to be worthy ambassadors of the Church. “Take advantage of the opportunities presented at Congress,” he urged, emphasizing the importance of representing the PCG with integrity and purpose.
Since its inaugural edition in Accra, Ghana, in 2022, the All-Africa Youth Congress has evolved into a revolutionary force, inspiring young people to confront socio-economic injustices and reshape Africa’s narrative through faith, activism, and innovation.
