The General Assembly Office of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Accra, has organised an orientation session for the incoming Clerk of the General Assembly (GA), Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah, as part of preparations for his transition into office next month.
The orientation was led by the outgoing Clerk of G. A., Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor, who guided Rev. Aboagye-Danquah through key responsibilities, administrative protocols, and strategic functions of the Clerk’s office.
The session marked a pivotal moment in leadership continuity within the PCG’s highest administrative body. Simultaneously, a parallel orientation session was held in the mini conference room for newly appointed Presbytery Clerks.
This session was facilitated by Rev. Edwin Tetteh Buertey, the immediate past Clerk of the Akuapem Presbytery, who shared insights and best practices for effective presbytery administration, effective governance and spiritual leadership.
The participating Presbytery Clerks are Rev. Paul Kwame Darko – Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery; Rev. Paul Owusu Ansah – Sefwi Presbytery; Rev. John Kwame Atta Donkor – Volta Presbytery; Rev. John Quarshie – Akuapem Presbytery; Rev. David Achulo – Northern Presbytery, and Rev. Kwame Amo-Agyei, Europe Presbytery, who joined via online.
