The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has been honoured as the National Best Faith-Based Organization in Practical Agriculture at the 41st National Farmers’ Day celebration, held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the Ho Sports Stadium in the Volta Region.
This prestigious award recognises the PCG’s remarkable contributions to agricultural development, food production, and community empowerment through its farming projects and social intervention initiatives across the country.
It affirms the Church’s commitment to integrating sustainable agriculture into its mission work, promoting food security, and supporting livelihoods in both rural and urban communities.
As part of the prize package, the PCG received an 85-horsepower tractor head, five jet motor sprayers, five knapsack sprayers, a complete irrigation kit, Wellington boots, cutlasses, and other essential tools to further strengthen its ongoing agricultural work.
These resources are expected to enhance the Church’s capacity to expand its farming projects and provide practical training to communities. Representing the Church at the national event was a delegation led by the National Director for Development and Social Services, Mrs. Rebecca Teiko Sabah, alongside Volta Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Felix Akresu Anim Danso, and other officials.
Their presence showcases the PCG’s collective pride in receiving the honour and our resolve to continue championing agriculture as a vital part of national development.
