The Director of Development and Social Services (DSS) at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Mrs. Rebecca Teiko Sabah, has commended all PCG farmers and the church for the laurels won at the 41st National Farmers’ Day Celebrations held on Friday, 5th December 2025 in Ho, Volta Region.
She expressed gratitude to the PCG leadership and our agricultural personnel for the honour of the church being adjudged the National Best Faith-Based Organisation in Practical Agriculture – 2025, describing it as an affirmation of the Church’s continuous work in promoting sustainable agriculture and community transformation.
On Farmer’s Day across the country, not only did the PCG emerge as National Best Faith-Based Organisation in Practical Agriculture – 2025, but some of the church’s Agents also won awards in district level events marking the day.
The District Minister for Latebiokorshie and Minister in Charge of the Very Rev. Max Doudo Congregation, Rev. Samuel Adom Adjah, was adjudged 1st Runner-Up Best Farmer for the Ablekuma Central Municipality while the Director of Development and Social Services (DSS) for the West Brong Presbytery Mr. Samuel Sackitey Kpabitey was honoured as the Best Agricultural Extension Agent in the Dormaa Central Municipality.
Our outstanding contributions to agricultural development, practical training, and community empowerment across the country are what have brought us to this high national level, Mrs. Teiko Sabah stated. She lauded the Church for its leadership and innovation in agriculture, noting that our role in equipping communities with practical skills, supporting rural development, and aligning faith with ecological responsibility is central to our mission.
As part of the award, the PCG received a package of agricultural equipment and supplies, including an 85Hp tractor head, two jet motorised sprayers, a set of cutlasses, irrigation kits with drip tapes, five knapsack sprayers, two pairs of Wellington boots, assorted chemicals, and a piece of cloth.
Mrs. Teiko Sabah reaffirmed the PCG’s resolve to continue leading in agricultural innovation and community empowerment, thanking God and all stakeholders for their support and partnership.
