Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah Inducted as 14th Clerk of General Assembly

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) has formally inducted Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah into office as the 14th Clerk of the General Assembly, marking a historic transition in the Church’s leadership.

The induction service was held on Sunday, 7th December 2025, at the Most Holy Trinity Congregation, Community 18, Tema, and drew clergy, laity, dignitaries, and congregants across the country. The ceremony was filled with worship, thanksgiving, and solemn prayers as the Church celebrated Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah’s assumption of the highest administrative office.

The event was broadcast live on PCG TV, allowing members worldwide to share in the moment. Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah officially assumed office on 1st December 2025 after a handing-over service at the Eben-Ezer Congregation, Osu, where outgoing Clerk Rev. Dr. Godwin Nii Noi Odonkor symbolically passed on the mantle of leadership.

In his inaugural sermon, Rev. Aboagye-Danquah expressed gratitude to God and the Church for entrusting him with this sacred responsibility. He pledged to serve with humility, diligence, and vision, declaring: “This is not just an office—it is a calling to steward the Church’s mission with faithfulness and clarity.”

The Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, charged the new Clerk to remain steadfast in his calling, reminding him that comparisons with past leaders should not sway his focus.
