Josephine Duodu honoured for TikTok Nursing Innovation
Josephine Kumi Duodu, a dedicated nurse educator, and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Salem congregation, Nsawam has been recognised for her outstanding contribution to healthcare education through social media.
She was named the Best Nurse/Midwife Educator on TikTok of the Year at the 2025 Nightingale Prestigious Awards, held on Saturday, 13th December 2025. Josephine and her team were at the General Assembly office in Accra to present her award to the Moderator, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye who congratulated her for her innovation and effort.
The award citation commended Josephine for her innovative use of TikTok to share engaging, informative, and entertaining content that empowers the next generation of nurses and midwives. Her creative approach, passion, and commitment to public health education have made a significant impact on the healthcare community, earning her national recognition.
Josephine’s journey with the Nightingale Prestigious Awards began in 2023, when she was nominated and participated in the same category during the 14th edition of the awards. Her consistent efforts and growing influence in digital health education culminated in her winning the top honour in 2025.
The Presbyterian Church of Ghana celebrates Josephine’s achievement as a reflection of the excellence and innovation emerging from its health institutions and professionals. Her recognition underscores the importance of merging faith, service, and technology to advance healthcare education and outreach.
