BSPG@60: National Convention Begins at KNUST
The Bible Study and Prayer Group (BSPG) is set to celebrate its 60th Anniversary with a grand national convention from Thursday, 1st January to Sunday, 4th January 2026 at the Royal Parade Grounds, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
Under the theme “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid – With Perseverance,” drawn from 1 Corinthians 3:11, James 1:4, and Romans 5:3-5, the convention promises a spiritually enriching experience that reflects the BSPG’s legacy while providing a path for renewed commitment.
The Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, will grace the occasion, lending his pastoral presence and spiritual leadership to the occasion.
Also in attendance will be the Clerk of General Assembly, national and presbytery leaders of the BSPG, including Rev. Dr. Emmanuel K. Sarbah, National Witness & Prayer Director; Rev. Samuel Ahima Yeboah, Asante Presbytery Chairperson; and Richard Owusu Afriyie (PhD), National President of BSPG.
The main speaker for the convention is Rev. Dr. J. W. Acheampong, Protestant Chaplain at KNUST. The four-day event will include worship sessions, Bible studies, and reflections on the group’s six-decade journey of nurturing spiritual growth within the church.
It will also serve as a rallying point for members across the country to recommit to the foundational values of the BSPG and celebrate the enduring impact of its ministry.
