The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has touched down in Perth, Western Australia, continuing his pastoral visit to the North America and Australia Presbytery (NAAP).

Perth, the capital of Western Australia, lies over 4,000 kilometres from Sydney and requires nearly six hours of flight time, indicating the vast distances covered in this pastoral mission.

On arrival, the Moderator was warmly received by the Minister in charge of Grace Worship Centre, Rev. Ing. Stephen Asante Domfeh, Associate Minister Rev. Oparebea Ansah, and members of the Session. Accompanying him on this leg of the journey were the NAAP Chairperson, Rev. Christian Bekoe Appenteng, the Australia District Minister, Rev. Kwadwo Osei-Bonsu, and Mrs. Benedicta Kwakye, wife of the Moderator.

Perth, often described as the “City of Light,” is home to more than 2.3 million people and is renowned for its vibrant skyline, pristine beaches, and cultural diversity. For the PCG community, the Moderator’s arrival is a moment of encouragement and affirmation of the Church’s global mission.

The Moderator’s presence in Perth highlights the PCG’s commitment to nurturing diaspora congregations and strengthening pastoral care across continents. The visit builds on earlier engagements in Sydney, where the Moderator was officially welcomed at the Manse, and continues the momentum of his ten-day pastoral tour.
