In a heartfelt ceremony last Sunday, the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery has presented a Toyota Voxy vehicle to the newly established Akyem Asafo District. The donation fulfills a pledge made by the Presbytery to provide a duty vehicle for the district, which was established barely a month ago.

The vehicle is expected to play vital roles in facilitating administrative duties, church planting, and the propagation of the Gospel within the growing district. Handing over the keys to the District Minister, Rev. Grace Sampah, the Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Prof. Seth Asare-Danso, stated the importance of stewardship.

He urged the district leadership to maintain the vehicle diligently, ensuring regular oil changes and consistent cleanliness to prolong its lifespan. He further noted that the Presbytery had taken steps to ensure a smooth transition, confirming that the vehicle had already been fully insured, registered, and issued a roadworthiness certificate.

Receiving the keys with joy, Rev. Grace Sampah expressed gratitude on behalf of the congregants. She described the donation as timely and inspiring, promising that the vehicle would be used strictly for its intended purpose and maintained with the utmost care. “This gift is not just a vehicle; it is a tool for mission. We will honor God and the Presbytery by using it faithfully,” she said.

The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including Rev. Prof. Seth Asare-Danso, Presbytery Chairperson; Rev. Paul Darko, Presbytery Clerk; Mrs. Emma Asiedu Darko, Presbytery Lay Representative; alongside traditional leaders, district ministers, and their spouses.
