The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye has admonished the National Union of Presbyterian Students – Ghana (NUPS-G), University of Ghana local, to remain steadfast in their Christian journey.

He said to ensure they finished well in every aspect of their lives, spiritually, academically, and personally, they needed to be focused. Preaching on the theme: “Maintaining Your Focus” (Galatians 3:1–5), he urged the students not to entangle themselves with distractions that could derail their purpose.

The Moderator made this call when he paid a pastoral visit to the NUPS-G (University of Ghana local) last Sunday. Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Joseph, he shared the importance of incubating one’s dream and reminded them that every dream was possible when nurtured

He charged the students to be strong physically and spiritually and prepare themselves for the actualization of their dreams. He noted that staying in control of one’s life and guarding it intentionally is crucial to sustained success.

The Moderator reminded the students that they are key to the church’s future growth especially as the Presbyterian Church of Ghana approaches its 200-year milestone. He encouraged them to prepare themselves to be leaders and torchbearers of the gospel on campus and beyond.

The service also featured an interactive session titled “Time with the Moderator,” where members had the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance on matters of faith, leadership, and personal development.

The pastoral visit served as a timely reminder that maintaining focus, spiritually, academically and personally, remains essential for young believers preparing to lead the church into its next century of impact.
