The Central Presbytery says it is fully prepared to receive the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, as he commences his tour of the presbytery this week.

“We are ready for the Moderator’s pastoral visit. The Presbytery Chairperson and his team have been moving around to ensure that everything necessary has been done to welcome the Moderator and his delegation,” said the Presbytery’s Public Relations Officer, Catechist Rapheal Ansere.

The pastoral visit, scheduled from Tuesday, February 24 to Sunday, March 1, 2026, will be the Moderator’s third since November 2025 and his second this year, following visits to the North America–Australia Presbytery (NAAP) and the Western Presbytery. In those engagements, he met congregations and districts, encouraged ministers, inaugurated projects, and emphasised accountability while outlining the PCG’s vision for mission.

During the Central Presbytery tour, the Moderator is expected to hold worship services, meet ministers and catechists, and interact with presbytery executives on mission, growth, the Kutunse Project, and bicentennial celebrations. He will also encourage congregations to deepen their commitment to evangelism.

Rev. Fiifi Foh Arkhurst and Catechist Ansere noted that preparations have focused on logistics, publicity, and mobilisation of districts to ensure full participation. The presbytery expressed gratitude for the Moderator’s attention, confident that his presence will inspire renewed zeal for ministry and fellowship.
