Benjamin Asomaning wins Moderator’s Art Competition
Master Benjamin Kwame Asomaning of Trinity Congregation, Akyem New Tafo in the Akyem Abuakwa Presbytery has been crowned winner of the 2025 Moderator’s Art Competition, scoring 40 points to secure first place. He edged out Tracy Sarfoa Appiah of the Kwahu Presbytery, who placed second with 39 points, and Bright Afriyie Heanno Owusu of the Ga West Presbytery, who came third with 38 points.
The Moderator’s Art Competition is more than a contest; it is a vehicle for building children’s creativity, faith, and regard for God’s gifts. Through drawing, painting, and visual storytelling, children are encouraged to reflect deeply on biblical themes and express their understanding of God’s love in imaginative ways.
The competition nurtures artistic talent while grounding participants in spiritual values, reminding them that creativity itself is a divine gift to be cherished and used for God’s glory. Benjamin’s winning artwork stood out for its originality and spiritual depth, capturing the essence of the theme with clarity and inspiration.
The Moderator’s Art Competition just like the essay writing version, continues to provide children with an opportunity to grow in confidence, explore their talents, and strengthen their faith. The competion has over the years become a vital platform for raising a generation of children who are not only creative but also spiritually rooted, using their gifts to honour God and serve the church community.
