National prayer retreat set for Patmos, Akropong
The Department of Mission and Evangelism will hold a four‑day national prayer retreat under the theme “Celebrating Our Heritage: Building on the Foundation Already Laid for Effective Ministry.” The retreat takes place from 17th to 20th March 2026, at the Patmos Retreat Centre, Akropong‑Akuapem.
It will bring together ministers, catechists, and caretakers from across the church. The programme is designed to be a time of renewal, prayer, and reflection, focusing on how the church can build upon its rich heritage while responding to the demands of effective ministry in today’s world.
Participants will engage in prayer sessions, teaching, and fellowship aimed at deepening their spiritual lives and sharpening their ministerial effectiveness.
The distinguished lineup of speakers expected to lead the retreat are the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, who will be joined by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, and the National Director of Mission and Evangelism, Rev. Dr Emmanuel K. Sarbah.
Evangelist Ebenezer Abboah‑Offei of the Patmos Retreat Centre will also feature prominently, while Rev. Abraham Opoku Baffour will be the main speaker. The retreat is open to ministers, catechists, and caretakers, with a participation fee of GHS500.
