PWC Abokobi to mark International Women’s Day
The Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Abokobi, will organise a special programme to celebrate International Women’s Day on Sunday, 8th March, 2026, at 2pm. The event, themed “Celebrating Women’s Empowerment: To Give is to Gain”, is designed to highlight the role of women in ministry, leadership, and community development.
The programme will feature Mrs. Sheila Minkah‑Premo Esq. as the guest speaker. A renowned lawyer and advocate for women’s rights, Mrs. Minkah‑Premo is expected to deliver an inspiring address on empowerment, service, and the transformative role of women in society.
The event will be chaired by Ms. Sally Adjetey, while the host for the occasion will be the Director of the Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Rev. Mrs. Patricia Addy. Together, they will guide proceedings that promise to blend reflection, celebration, and a call to action for women across the church and beyond.
Rev. Mrs. Patricia Addy explains that the programme is not only a celebration but also a platform to encourage women to embrace empowerment as service. The theme, “To Give is to Gain”, underscores the idea that women’s contributions, whether in family, church, or society, yield lasting impact and blessings, she says.
The event will take place at the Presbyterian Women’s Centre, Abokobi, and is open to members of the church, women’s fellowship groups, and the wider women community.
