GAC gives GHS100k to NUPS-G UDS Tamale
The General Assembly Council (GAC) of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has donated GHS100,000 to the National Union of Presbyterian Students of Ghana (NUPS‑G), University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale local, to support the construction of their auditorium.
The announcement was made by the Moderator of the General Assembly, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, during his visit to Tamale as part of his itinerary to dedicate health facilities in the Upper Presbytery.
The Moderator explained that the Council had previously contributed GHS200,000 to support the roofing of the auditorium, and this latest donation was to ensure the completion of the project.
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Benedicta Kwakye, the Moderator further pledged 100 bags of cement to accelerate the construction. The gesture was warmly received by the students, who expressed gratitude for the church’s continued investment in their spiritual and academic development.
This donation follows a similar gesture made by the General Assembly Council last Sunday at Winneba, where the Moderator presented GHS100,000 to support the NUPS‑G auditorium project at the University of Education, Winneba.
