Moderator worships with NUPS G UDS Tamale
As part of his official schedule to dedicate health facilities in the Upper Presbytery, the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, has made a stopover in Tamale, Northern Presbytery, where he joined the National Union of Presbyterian Students, Ghana (NUPS‑G), University for Development Studies (UDS), Tamale local, in worship.
The Moderator arrived at the Tamale International Airport early Sunday morning to a warm reception. He was met by the Northern Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Simon Kofi Yeboah; the Upper Presbytery Chairperson, Rev. Roger Awudibah Wegurih; the Northern Presbytery Lay Representative to the General Assembly Council, Prof. Francis Amaglo; and a host of ministers and presbyters who accompanied him to the programme.
Shortly after his arrival, the Moderator was led to the NUPS‑G auditorium at Dungu, where excited students had gathered in anticipation. The atmosphere was filled with joy as the students welcomed him with songs of praise and thanksgiving.
The Moderator’s presence was described by the NUPS-G leadership as a source of inspiration, affirming the church’s commitment to nurturing young Presbyterians on an occasion like Youth and Students Sunday. The visit to NUPS‑G UDS Tamale is the third by Moderator to the NUPS-G in this year having been to similar NUPS-G gathering in Accra and Winneba.
