The Clerk of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), Rev. David Aboagye-Danquah, has urged Presbytery Chairpersons, ministers, sessions, and congregational leaders to actively promote the ‘PCG Connect’ programme.
In a circular dated 19th March 2026, he stated that the initiative’s success hinges on strong leadership and commitment at every level of the Church. “The success of this initiative will depend significantly on leadership and commitment at the Presbytery and congregational levels,” Rev. Aboagye-Danquah wrote.
He stressed the need for ministers and leaders to mobilise members to engage online with the programme through PCGTV and the church’s social media platforms. Launched last week, ‘PCG Connect’ is a structured media engagement programme designed to create a consistent interface between the church’s departments, members, the media, and the wider public.
Each month, one department will host a “townhall-style” session to present updates, share progress, highlight key initiatives, and discuss challenges and opportunities. The rollout begins on Tuesday, 24th March, with the Department of Development and Social Services (DSS) leading the first session.
Subsequent months will feature other departments, including Mission and Evangelism in April, Education in May, Administration and Human Resource in June, and Church Life and Nurture in July. A special session in August will focus on the aftermath of the General Assembly, while November will spotlight the Office of the Clerk of the General Assembly itself.
