Bicentennial Cloth: Dress Code for Easter Sunday
As momentum builds toward the Bicentennial Celebration in 2028, the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has announced that all members are to wear the Bicentennial Anniversary Cloth to church on Easter Sunday, 5th April 2026.
In a circular signed by the Clerk of the General Assembly, Rev. David Aboagye‑Danquah, congregations and preaching points worldwide have been directed to wear either the white or blue variants of the cloth. These serve as visible reminders of the church’s collective journey; honouring the past, celebrating the present, and looking forward to the future.
The Clerk noted that a new consignment of cloth, including white, blue, and silk variants, has been procured. Agents are encouraged to contact their respective Presbyteries to arrange for collection ahead of Easter.
This initiative is expected to create a striking visual expression of solidarity across the Church, reinforcing the Bicentennial theme and the vision of being a Christ‑centered, self‑sustaining, and growing Church.
